Nia means ‘purpose’ in Swahili, and that’s exactly what these nights are all about: gathering with intention, savouring good food, and sharing moments that linger long after the last bite. Nia Nights is Tribe Tesi’s new dining experience: an evening to dress up, lean in and enjoy soulful plates at some of the North East’s favourite places to gather. No big stage, no programme, just a table set for laughter, conversation and the simple pleasure of being together.
Each gathering will be hosted in partnership with a different local restaurant and venues, each plate tells a story, each course invites you to slow down and connect. It’s our way of celebrating food, culture and the communities we live and work in.
Think of it as your midweek or weekend pause, an excuse to put your phone away, pour a cuppa or another glass, and learn a little more about the people around you.

How it works:
One evening, one venue, one menu – you pay for the evening, and we take care of the rest.
Register solo or bring your people, everyone leaves feeling good, with full bellies.
Expect a warm welcome, a few surprises and conversations you’ll remember. And because we’re a content studio at heart, we’ll capture all these moments too, so you can relive the laughter and stories long after the night ends.
Please note, this is an adult-only event.
So, are you coming to a Nia Nights? If this sounds like your kind of evening, register your interest below and we’ll keep you in the loop and make sure you’re first to know when the next Nia Nights is set.
