There is a lot that comes with having a business online and, if we're being honest, it can get overwhelming quite quickly. You know you probably need a website, or perhaps the one you have isn't doing what you need it to do, then there is social media, content, branding, visibility and all the other bits that seem to appear the minute you decide to take your business seriously. Before long, you have a list of jobs that keeps growing and absolutely no idea which one you should be tackling first.
I see this quite a lot through the work I do with Tribe Tesi. Sometimes people know something isn't quite right but can't always put their finger on what it is. Their social media isn't getting the response they hoped for, their website feels outdated, their branding no longer reflects where the business is now or they simply know they should be doing more but don't know where to start. And I get it because when everything feels important, it can be difficult to know what actually needs your attention first.
Of course, there is plenty of information online. You can search almost anything and within seconds find articles, videos, advice and people telling you exactly what you should be doing. The problem is that sometimes having access to all that information doesn't make it any easier. If anything, it can leave you with even more tabs open and another list of ideas you don't quite have the time to work through.

That got me thinking about the people who might not necessarily be ready to bring someone in just yet but could do with a little help understanding where they are and what they need to think about next. Not a step-by-step guide to doing everything yourself, but something practical that helps you pause, look at what you already have and identify the areas that might need a little more attention.
This collection of free resources are downloadable and you use in your own time. They will cover different areas of having and running a business online, from your website and branding to social media and content, with prompts and questions designed to help you take stock before deciding what your next move might be.
Some of the answers might confirm that you're actually doing better than you thought, while others might highlight a few gaps that have been sitting quietly in the background waiting for you to notice them. Either way, the aim isn't to make you feel like you're doing everything wrong or add another twenty jobs to your already busy week. It is simply to give you a starting point. And sometimes that is all we need.
A place to begin, a few questions worth thinking about and a little more clarity around what comes next. From there, you can decide whether it's something you can tackle yourself or whether it might be time to bring in some support.
